Hold on tight. A 30-minute blast beyond the bay, past the Cliff House and the famous shipwreck, with the chance to jump in along the way.
The banana bus · Ardmore Bay
Want to explore beyond Ardmore Bay? Our banana boat sea safari is the fastest, funnest way to do it. Over 30 minutes you'll take in some of the best scenery on this stretch of the Wild Atlantic Way: the cliffs of Ardmore, the Cliff House Hotel and the famous shipwreck, all from the water.
When the boat stops to take in the views, you're welcome to jump in for a swim before climbing back aboard. And don't worry about capsizing: our banana "bus" is a slower, very stable boat that stays the right way up, so it's safe for adults and kids alike.
Every trip is accompanied by an instructor and lifejackets are provided for everyone on board. The banana boat is also out for rides on the beach daily, so if a full safari isn't your thing, come find us on the sand.
Trips run with a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 10 people, so it's a great one for families and groups. Kids are very welcome with an adult. Bring swimwear and a towel if you fancy the swim stop. Like all our activities, safaris are weather dependent, so we'll always be in touch if conditions mean we need to move your time.
Tell us your date and how many of you, and we'll get the banana bus fuelled up. We're on the beach all summer.
